Office Policies

Office Visits:

All new naturopathic clients must begin with a New Client Wellness visit. During the initial visit a thorough health history will be taken and various recommendations will be made including lab assessments and treatment strategies. Follow-up visits for naturopathic patients are made 2-6 weeks after your initial visit depending on labs ordered and the acute nature of the presenting concerns. Follow-up visits are essential to establishing a strategy that is effectively addressing presenting concerns and managing symptom progression. The goal is to transition you from frequent follow-up visits onto a maintenance schedule (think seasonal visits every 3-4 months) where you are checking-in and maintaining your health and wellness goals with Dr. White as life happens and things shift.

Email communication for all existing clients is complimentary. Dr. White will not offer new advice or recommendations through email but will gladly clarify existing suggestions made during a regular visit. If needed, a phone consultation can be booked to address new concerns.

Phone consultations  can be arranged for existing clients following the appropriate fee schedule

Payment Policy:

All fees for services are due at the time services are rendered. We accept cash credit and all major credit cards. Clinic visits and supplements may be covered with your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA). Some labs and services that are recommended may be billable through your insurance and will be discussed prior to your initial visit.. Due to the lack of licensure for naturopathic medicine in Virginia insurance cannot be accepted for this service at this time. Acupuncture and chiropractic services may be covered.  Receipts for services/supplements can be provided for clients to submit to their insurance providers for possible reimbursement. It is best to contact your insurance provider for more information. Specialty labs, supplements and administrative fees are an additional cost.

Cancellation Policy:

A 24-cancellation policy is enforced. Without sufficient notice a $75 fee will be enforced for naturopathic services and a $25 fee for acupuncture and chiropractor. No call/No Show visit will result in a $75 fee for naturopathic services and $25 fee for acupuncture and chiropractic for the 1st offense, thereafter Acure Wellness LLC reserves the right to charge the full price of the visit. Dr. White promises to respect your time and asks for the same in return. Acure Wellness LLC enforces a 15-minute late policy. All visits are considered a no call/no show after 15 minutes.

New Client Forms:

Every new client must complete the New Client Intake Form & complete all Consent Forms at least 2 business days before their visit. This ensures adequate time for Dr. White to review them before your visit, making the time during your visit more efficient.

Labs:

Lab results will be available on your patient portal after we have had a chance to review them in a visit. Reviewing your lab findings with Dr. White is critical to ensure that results are interpreted, understood and managed in an appropriate way.

Collaborating with other Healthcare Professionals:

It is imperative that you continue to seek medical care from your primary care physician (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) for diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Dr. White believes in multidisciplinary healthcare and feels collaborating with other healthcare professionals is essential for offering complete care to those she works with. As such, she may refer you to another healthcare provider if she feels that something is outside of her scope, and she fully expects to work with healthcare providers as part of your health and wellness team.
